"Well, the Hughes family embarked on an incredible adventure on April 21st! With the help of expert balloon pilot Ron Broderick of Friendship Hot Air Balloon Company and a dedicated chase team in a van, we had the experience of a lifetime. We traveled from Sykesville to Westminster (just over ten miles) floating gently with the breeze above rolling hills of farmland in our hot air balloon "Dreamstar". The kids had a fantastic time and I am so proud of them for being so brave. We went up to about 2,000 feet at one point and the kids barely seemed to notice. In my opinion the best part was easily the unexpectedly magical landing in a remote field and being helped by the land-owners to pack up the balloon! They were so gracious about us landing in their field and it seemed the whole family came out to help. We packed up the balloon to a fantastic sunset and then had a champagne toast with our new found friends. What an incredible way to end the day. I have over an hour of footage to go through, so stay tuned for the video! A BIG thanks again to Ron and his crew!"
